About Us
Holder & Associates Loss Adjusters is an independent loss adjusting firm covering KwaZulu-Natal, operating from two offices in Newcastle and Pietermaritzburg. We handle the full spectrum of claims for insurers, underwriting managers and brokers.
The firm is built around the experience of Gavin Holder, who brings 19 years in the investigation of crimes with the South African Police Service, followed by over a decade in the insurance sector as a Non-Motor Claims Assessor at Mutual & Federal and heading up the Newcastle office for DRM Loss Adjusters. His investigative grounding is a particular asset on fraud and contentious matters.
He is supported by professional associates Matthew Van As, a Chartered Accountant (SA), and Chanté Van As, a Certified Financial Planner. Together they give insurers a single partner equipped to investigate, quantify and report on claims of almost any size or complexity, with particular strength in the financial quantification that complex commercial and business-interruption claims demand.
